NYT Backs Up NBC: McCain Was Not In “Cone Of Silence” Before Saddleback

Let’s “Get Smart” About McCain and The “Cone of Silence”

McCain was not in the cone. McCain was in his limo at the time Obama was being questioned by Warren. McCain was briefed by his staff on the questions in the limo but more than likely told that it was subject matter that he should give clear thought to. The staff then listened to his answers and gave opinion. Once arriving on set and in the “Green Room”, yet still not in the “Cone of Silence”, McCain went over the subject matter and his answers. He then took the stage with Warren before a GOP partisan audience. The GOP can cry foul that the New York Times and MSNBC is pro Obama or Democrat or against McCain, however, when you “get smart” about the truth… McCain was not in the “Cone of Silence” and what took place was an evening of disinformation and Warren wedging himself into presidential politics.
