Anita Dunn of the The White House’s communication staff has finally stated the obvious with regard to the news worthiness of the Fox Cable News Channel:
“The reality of it is that Fox New often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party. And it is not ideological… What I think is fair to say about Fox, and the way we view it, is that it is more a wing of the Republican Party.”
Though she stated that the President would still make appearances on that network, it would be however, because of the network’s predisposed positions, merely to do debate the issues.
“They are widely viewed as a part of the Republican Party: take their talking points and put it on the air, take their opposition research and put it on the air. And That’s fine. But let’s not pretend they’re a news organization like CNN is.”
Yet the question that begs to be answered is, why should any Democrat continue the charade of appearing on Fox News what so ever? Republicans and conservatives have little use for nor even care if they turn down MSNBC. If Fox News wants to be “fair and balanced” toward the right only, then let it be a place only for them.
