Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: The Wizard Of Nuclear Iran

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has always been a pertinent and revealing tale when it comes to how it correlates with world events, life and human nature. The idea that one can be lost and not understand that their compass and means to get home has always rested within, is a powerful reminder as to how we tend to complicate the most simple aspects of our lives and how we understand and view the world.

Dorothy’s journey into Oz also taps into another area that seems to elude us yet we know is true all along, life is not always as it seems. This premise is embodied in all the ‘Oz’ characters on some level but none more than in the Wizard himself. His facade of fire and brimstone scares and shakes all comers, yet it is merely a mask to a feeble man just as lost as those he is trying to guide home. The striking and intimidating persona presented through a curtain of fire and billowing voice is a puppet or as the world now knows him in his most recent incarnation; Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Ahmadinejad, is merely the front man for a Supreme Leader whom together are doing their best version of Willy Tyler and Lester or for you purist Paul Winchel and Jerry Mahoney. Either way, the dummy is saying one thing while the puppeteer is saying completely the opposite. The Puppet: We are enriching uranium for nuclear power. The Puppet Master: Oh, by the way did we tell you that we have a second enrichment plant and have enriched enough uranium to make a functional nuclear weapon? The Puppet: I am the duly elected President of Iran. Puppet Master: Detain any one who contradicts the election’s outcome.

In short, what world leaders can not say because they are bound by decorum, diplomacy is that he lies. Both of them lie. That’s right it has been said, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a liar. He can not be trusted and anything he says is coming from the puppet master, the true Wizard of Iran. The rest of the world, like Dorothy, the Tin Man, The Lion and The Scare Crow are doing his bidding, looking for witches, bringing back brooms, fighting flying monkeys and for whom? For a facade that has only the power it is imbued with by the world’s fear of nuclear proliferation.

What is amazingly absurd is that an American Congressman can scream at the top of his lungs during a presidential speech to a joint session of Congress: ‘You Lie!’ about a remark the President has made on the issue of health care and not one among them dare to shout those very words in a room towards Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, nor on record in the press on an issue such as nuclear weapons that may put into motion events that could obliterate mankind from the face of the earth.

The final question is, when will the world pull back the curtain and reveal Iran for what they are? No little dog named Toto is going to do it. No little bubble with a beautiful lady and a wand is going to float down from the heavens and save the day. The revelation that there is a second nuclear reactor enriching uranium should be chilling. Not because they have it but because they perpetrated a bold face lie. And in that lie it is understood that anything they agree to show UN inspectors there after is a lie. It is not enough for the world to wag its finger at Iran for this egregious act nor attempt to negotiate with an Iranian President who has no power. The United Nations must cease being the Emerald City for nice speeches and “shame on you” resolutions.

The Wizard is not going to go away in a hot air balloon and leave the rest of the world to peacefully figure out how to go home. This is not a call to America, this is a call to the world: When it comes to Iran you will find the answer within. It’s time to click your heals, see the truth and take action.
